How to Prepare for CGT Fields Grand Opening
As our 150th Anniversary celebrations continue, we are getting ready to unveil a newly-restored ball yard in the community we call home.
On Saturday, June 22 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., we are bringing the community together to celebrate the grand opening of CGT Fields — formerly Waterworks Park — for a family-friendly event in partnership with the City of Cambridge and the Cambridge Minor Baseball Association.
The restored outdoor recreational park will maintain its unique 1940s feel — but with a modern, CGT twist. This project has been months in the making and we are ready to knock it out of the park!
Here’s what to expect at the event - and how to prepare for it!
Wear your baseball hat
We’ll be wearing ours! Get into the true spirit of the game — and block out the sun — while you watch a Cambridge Minor Baseball game at the new diamond. Plus, don’t miss the special first pitch!
Cover your bases by drinking plenty of water. By late June, we can expect the summer heat to have stepped up to the plate. Bottled water will be available on site as well.
Bring the whole family - and your appetite!
There will be lots to do — and eat — including popcorn, cotton candy, food trucks, a bouncy castle, and face painting!
We hope to see you there! Check out our Facebook event page for more info!
This year we are celebrating 150 years of manufacturing leadership - making us one of the country’s oldest companies in the industry. To mark this important milestone, we are organizing a series of events, open houses, and community initiatives throughout the year. Stay in touch with CGT by following us on Facebook and Twitter — and be sure to check back for all of our exciting 150th anniversary events here!
