TPO

In anticipation of a shift in customer demand for innovative and effective alternative to PVC, CGT has developed a complete range of substitutes made from engineered Thermoplastic Olefins (TPO). Some of our customers are demanding chlorine free 'green' polymers with a performance and functionality better than or equal to PVC, with the same soft feel, at a comparable cost. We are capable of producing material with a soft leather feel with low-gloss, anti-mar and anti-squeak characteristics.

Our research has resulted in products with a lower weight per unit of thickness, improved fog and UV performance, better cold-crack properties in airbag deployment and improved heat resistance which improve its performance in high temperature molding. If the substrates used are of the same TPO family, the end products are completely recyclable.
Our R&D has resulted in approval and products launched for full width instrument panels and knee bolsters, full door, upper door and armrest cover as well as console cover. Conversion processes used are low-pressure molding, male and female vacuum forming. You can see our products in award winning vehicles in the showrooms now!
